One of the most popular pop stars of the early 2000s was Avril Lavigne, a Canadian singer-songwriter. And she was actually known for making grungy pop-rock music back then.

Tyga used to be in an on-again, off-again relationship with Kylie Jenner. He was linked to other women after calling it quits with Kylie and starting out with Avril.

How Avril Lavigne and Tyga Met
Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun broke up after being engaged for about 10 months. And on the 20th of February 2023, a day before they called off their engagement, Avril was seen with Tyga.
The two of them were spotted in Los Angeles, having dinner at the Nobu restaurant and hugging one another before departing.
A source had said at the time, “Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months but are no longer together as a couple.”
Another source said, “genuinely friends and nothing more.”
Later, sources who were close with both Avril Lavigne and Tyga said that they had been “hanging out together a lot lately” however, they weren’t that serious about dating officially.
But guess what?
On the 2nd of March this year, Avril Lavigne and Tyga seemed to get closer and closer together.
They even went to Paris together for Paris Fashion Week, and TMZ released some photos of them together at Leonardo DiCaprio’s Kuku party.
Comes 6th of March!
During Paris Fashion Week, these two were spotted at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party. They even posed for photos and were seen together holding hands on the way to Pavillon des Invalides.
And then, they were caught by photographers kissing each other and confirming their relationship rumors.
Then, March 18!
Tyga had apparently gifted Avril Lavigne a huge diamond necklace, which she was spotted wearing out.
TMZ asserted that Tyga gifted her the custom-made necklace worth $80,000, which he got from Eric Mavani, a New York City-based jeweler.

This necklace was adorned with beautiful black diamonds, pink sapphires, and white diamonds. Avril’s name was spelled out, two skull designs, her first initial, and some crossbones were made out of pink sapphires.
An insider talked about them in late March, saying, “very into each other.”
They also said, “They’re still not exclusive and just getting to know each other. They’re taking things very slowly to be on the safe side and really get to know each other before diving into something serious. But they are spending a lot of time together.”
However, on the 20th of June this year, TMZ reported that this couple had split up as their relationship had run its course, which was said by a source.
Mutual?
Their break up seemed to be on mutual terms. And if you’re wondering if there was any bad blood or cheating involved between them, there wasn’t.
Apparently, both of them were just busy with Avril just having finished with her tour for Love Sux. And she had even posted her tour showing with Tyga with her backstage at the time.
But even Tyga was right in the middle of making his new music, as he had just released his new single.
So their short-lived 3-month-old relationship came to an end.
