Farjana was born on 15 December 1988 in Jessore, Bangladesh. She started acting in stage plays when she was in class 7, at Jhenaidah Cadet College. She developed her passion for drama and film from an early age and participated in various competitions and festivals. She also learned to play the guitar and the piano.
She pursued her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at MIST (Military Institute of Science and Technology). She was the founder-member of MIST Drama and Film Society and performed at BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) in the Inter-university Drama Festival in 2011. She also made some short films with her friends and uploaded them on YouTube.
After her graduation, she worked as an engineer for a few years. However, she did not give up on her dream of becoming a filmmaker and decided to pursue her master’s degree abroad. She went to Malaysia in 2013 and enrolled in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for her master’s degree in construction management. There, she created the concept of Mango Squad, a YouTube channel that showcases her talent and creativity. She started making short films, sketches, and music videos with her friends and uploaded them on YouTube. Her channel gained popularity and recognition within a short period of time.
She returned to Bangladesh in 2014 and got her first break in the television industry. She was offered a part in a TV serial called Nine and a Half by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, a renowned director.
